Finding Your Reflection Retreat the entire premise of the getaway is Finding YOUR Reflection. Life has a way of changing on us rather quickly and one of the things I’m focusing on in 2019 is finding myself again. While I know it sounds cliche many of us lose ourselves when we become Moms and we put our wants/needs on the back-burner.
The older I get the more I understand the importance of spending time on things that I enjoy, being with friends that inspire me, and of course, take care of business. A few months ago I needed something to work on and Becky & I wanted to get together for some “working” time. We invited 4 great ladies to join us and the Finding Your Reflection Retreat idea was born.
Finding YOUR Reflection Retreat Information
The first Finding YOUR Reflection Retreat will be held May 20-22, 2019 in KC, MO, and surrounding areas. We will have time to focus on ourselves, our businesses, and of course do a little sightseeing with any luck. We had a fun filled 3 days of trying new wines, sightseeing a few sites, and of course lots and lots of learning.
Libby, Becky & Heidi were able to collaborate, try new wines, enjoy some yummy food and of course learn new things as well as work on several projects. Being Empty Nesters is an important part of life, but one that has its challenges and it was just thing we needed to keep our businesses and momentum going.
2019 Finding Your Reflection Retreat
The 2019 event was paid for by the individual bloggers attending the event. However, we have a few great brands that sent goodies and/or provided a place to meet.
Nearwood Winery is a winery that is located in Knoxville, Iowa and is in its first full year of operation. Nearwood Winery produces about 2 thousand cases of wine per year from their acre of grapes. Some bottles are from just their harvest, and others are a mix of their grapes and grapes from Iowa and Missouri. All are hand-picked, crushed, squeezed, bottled, and corked as well as available to purchase locally.
Digibuddha sent some coffee mugs that had an inspirational message of “Dream Big” as well as a Foil Art in Rose gold that says I can & I will. Both fit the theme perfectly and serve as a daily reminder to reach for the stars and anything is possible when it comes to finding yourself and business goals.
Design A Tea sent us some delicious tea that you steep for 5-7 minutes, and sit back and enjoy. Perfectly labeled Reflection it is the perfect drink at the end of the day to help you reflect on your day and recharge you for the next day. It is the perfect combination of Lavender, Chamomile, Natural Organic Cherry Flavoring, as well as Rooibos, and Rose Petals. It is easy to drop into the bags they sent us, steep and enjoy.
Author Nicole Feliciano who is the founder of MomTrends sent us her Mom Boss Book. Which is perfect for any Entrepreneur & Mom, or even us “Grandma’s” who are most likely Empty Nesters. I haven’t had a chance to go through all of the book just yet, but just thumbing through it I loved that there were places for me to actually “write” in the book.
One of my all-time favorite brands to partner with is the folks at Naturelle Pro. They sent us sets of hair care products that are made with up to 97% naturally derived ingredients and is a high-quality alternative to Biolage products. The Natural Origin collection features seven color-safe products that gently restore beauty and radiance, delivering honest-to-goodness healthy hair. Available in Nurture, Restore, and Renew they have all hair types covered and are the perfect solution to help you take care of YOU!
A special shout-out to first-year attendees, Becky & Libby. Who took the steps to grow friendships, learn, and laugh a lot over these three fabulous days! I for one can’t wait until our next get-together/working trip! Want to join us for the 2020 retreat?
